Over the past 8 years, Michael Ballard has been involved with two companies in the Las Vegas Valley: 1Velocity and Switch. He is being sued by both companies over his alleged unethical practices and improper actions while leaving Switch in 2006 and his handling of investors’ money while at 1Velocity from 2006 to 2011.

1. BALLARD SUED BY FOUNDERS AND SHAREHOLDERS OF HIS FORMER COMPANY – 1VELOCITY – for allegedly selling the company at a multi-million dollar loss to cover up his questionable business and accounting practices and breaches of his fiduciary duties as CEO. Investors in 1Velocity maintain that David Michael Ballard lost millions of dollars invested by local businessmen and families in his company.
   
   
2. BALLARD SUED BY HIS FORMER EMPLOYER – SWITCH COMMUNICATIONS GROUP, LLC – for allegedly stealing Switch’s intellectual property and breaching his confidentiality agreement by taking corporate records and designs after being fired by the Board. Ballard subsequently hired Switch’s former contractors to design the Cobalt Data Center and replicate Switch’s data centers using Switch’s alleged proprietary information.
